Effective June 3, 2026 · West Canning Media, LLC (dba chiefcustomerofficer.io)
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Uncommon community platform ("Uncommon," "the platform," or "the service"), operated by West Canning Media, LLC, doing business as chiefcustomerofficer.io ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Uncommon. The platform is intended for customer success professionals, including executives, practitioners, and adjacent roles. We reserve the right to decline or revoke membership for anyone who does not fit the professional community we are building.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or allow anyone else to access the platform using your credentials. Notify us immediately at uncommon@customersuccess.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Uncommon offers two membership plans: a monthly plan billed at $49 per month and an annual plan billed at $499 per year (paid upfront). Both plans provide the same access to the platform.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time on monthly plans. Annual plans are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
As part of onboarding, you are required to accept Uncommon's Community Guidelines before accessing the community. By accepting, you agree to participate in good faith and to respect the trust of other members. Specifically:
Uncommon is a professional community. You agree not to:
Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your membership without refund, at our sole discretion.
You retain ownership of the posts, comments, resources, and other content you submit to Uncommon ("Member Content"). By submitting content, you grant West Canning Media, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and store that content within the Uncommon platform for as long as your account is active or the content remains on the platform.
The Uncommon brand, platform design, software, and any content created by the Uncommon team (including curated resources, event recordings, and editorial content) are owned by West Canning Media, LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
Uncommon provides an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that allows AI systems — including Claude and compatible clients — to access and interact with the platform on your behalf using your credentials. You are responsible for all actions taken through the MCP server when authenticated with your tokens. We recommend creating separate API tokens for AI use with only the permissions needed. Revoke tokens immediately if you suspect misuse.
Uncommon is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Advice, opinions, and recommendations shared by community members are those of the individual members and do not constitute professional advice. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on community discussions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, West Canning Media, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Uncommon at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we determine your participation is not in the best interest of the community. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Sections 4 (Community Guidelines), 6 (Content Ownership), 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis — you waive the right to participate in a class action. Before initiating arbitration, you agree to first contact us at uncommon@customersuccess.io to attempt informal resolution.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Uncommon after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
